I think 'owl' have a little rest now!

I have been quite busy making swaps this week for our quaterly Stampin' Up! training day run by the lovely Monica and Bekka in Peterborough.
They are a wonderful mix of  training, making cards and projects and socialising with friendly Stampin' Up! demo's from around the country. Lots of fun and laughter- a perfect day!

This was my craft desk with all the cards completed. Phew!

These little owls were fun to make using the owl punch but it was a bit of a marathon!
I started of making little Christmassy owls sat on branches. Christmas i hear you cry, in July!
Yes! us crafters have to start early on the Christmas cards in order to get them all done on time.
I do have to admit to struggling with the idea whilst the sun is shining but the long evenings of light we have now have certainly helped me get this job done.
Hmmm. Unfortunately i cannot get my photo to rotate in blogger so apolgies for this.

Anyway, after a while my little owls became 'tipsy' owls ( it was a merry Christmas card after all!)
Ooops! sorry its still  not working!
The colours are Real red and Bashful blue in the background.  The Sparkling wheel was inked up with craft white ink for the snowflakes. The owl was made up from Choc chip, real red, bashful blue and whisper white cardstock. The branches were made using garden green card and the bird punch.
The sentiment is from the Contempo Christmas stamp set. Inked in Real red i stamped it onto the lots of tags label die No 1. Then i matted it onto a crumb cake decorative label punched shape which was then embossed using the square lattice folder and Big Shot.

Anyway, i loved making them and the owl punch is one i will definitely be returning to.

Thankyou for looking and i hope you all have a good week ahead.
Now i am going to browse through all the lovely swaps i recieved.
