More cheers to you cards!

In my quest to use my Stampin' Up! 'Cheers to you' stamp set i have managed to come up with a couple more cards.

They both use the same design format but have turned out quite different with a change in colour theme.

My first card was made using Sahara sand and whisper white card. The glasses were coloured in with So saffron ink. The sentiment comes from the 'something to celebrate' stamp set. Basic pearls give a classy look.
I took the photo outside so that you can see the colour of the card better. Sahara sand can look quite grey in the shade but its true sand colour is very good for anniversary, wedding and mens cards.

I used Tangerine tango, Real red and a bit of Rich razzleberry to make this card more summery with a cocktail theme. The white background was embossed with the perfect polka dot embossing folder through the Big Shot.
The drink was coloured in using marker pens. The sentiment is one that comes with the set.
The ribbon is from my SU collection.

Right, i am feeling quite thirsty now with all this talk of drink and summer. The sun is shining here so i will go and make the most of it with a cold lemonade i think.

Thanks for stopping by.xx

Play day

Very occasionally i am lucky enough to be able to get some crafting done while the kiddiwinks play happily in the garden. Now they go into the garden a lot, but it is rare that i manage to create something without being interupted too much. So today was a good day!

The stamp set is from my non- SU collection.
The colours i used are real red and certainly celery. The pale yellow seed beads add a bit of dimension.
The same colours were used for the next card and i added basic pearls this time.
Finally a gift tag to complete the collection.

The real red and certainly celery colour combo could be used for christmas cards too!

Talking of christmas, us crafters have to start early with the christmas creations. With this in mind my next class will have a christmas theme. So if you are free on Friday 26th August come and join us from 7-9 pm to get a head start!

Apologies for my absence

Hi there
Firstly i must apologise for my absence over the last week. We have been on holiday to St Ives in Cornwall, which is one of my favourite places.
We spent some lovely days on the beach.
Some of our photo's left me inspired to make my next card

The background to the card is made up of 'confetti white' card with strips of bashful blue, taken with teal(retired), baja breeze ribbon and so saffron. The taken with teal strip is embossed with the square lattice embossing folder.
For the main image i used glossy white cardstock and sponge daubers to apply the bashful blue, baja breeze and so saffron ink.
The 'sail away' stamp was inked up with stazOn jet black ink as this works best on glossy surfaces.
The 'happy birthday' sentiment is from the level 2 hostess set 'something to celebrate'.

Happy memories. Hope you like it.

Now back to the washing!

cheers to you in springtime vintage mode!

I was looking at ways to use my 'Cheers to you' stamp set. At the same time i got out my pack of Springtime vintage paper and noticed the cherry pattern on one of the sheets. Now Springtime vintage DSP is a lovely set with a mixture of flowery and patterned sheets, but i just love the cherry design.
Here is the card i came up with

The colour combo of the DSP is Rose Red, Pear pizzaz and Very Vanilla so these were the colours i used for the card.

The image was coloured in using the Stampin' Up! marker pens.
I ran the Pear Pizzaz cardstock, the main image background layer and the greeting background through the Big Shot with the textured impressions square lattice folder.
I ran the cherry DSP through the BS with the Top Note die.
The ribbon is Rose Red seam binding from the SU mini catalogue.
Finally the 'celebrate' greeting comes from the hostess level 2 set 'Something to celebrate'.

Now i'm on a mission to come up with a few more cards with this set.
