Fox and friends

I hope you are having a good weekend!

I have been playing with the 'Fox and Friends' stamp set this week. I really like this set because it is really easy but effective stamping, with no colouring involved. Now i usually prefer to do colouring on my stamping, but when you need a quick card for a child, this set fits the bill.

This card is done in Bashful Blue. Very simply using stripy DSP and the scallop trim punch. Add some linen thread and a button. The sentiment is from the Party this way set.
This next card is done in 'Wild Wasabi' spotty DSP and whisper white. The tortoises were stamped using Wild Wasabi and Chocolate Chip ink. The ribbon is early expresso 1/8th Taffeta.
The sentiment is from the new Petite pairs stamp set.
My last card is made using Daffodil delight stripy DSP. I stamped the images using Early Expresso, Cajun Craze, More Mustard and Soft Suede ink.
The ribbon is Daffodil Delight 1/8th Taffeta.
The sentiment is from the Easy Events stamp set, stamped onto a tag cut using the 'lots of tags' sizzlits set.

I apologize for the darkness of the photo's in this post. The weather was so miserable and dark, that light even in the conservatory, was bad.
Here's hoping for some brighter, sunnier days next week or i will have to get my S.A.D lamp out!

Easy events in 'pool party'

Hello  and apologies for my lack of posts this week.
It has been a bit hectic here recently and my crafting had to take backstage for a bit. The children are now on their half term holidays, which is great for not having to rush out in the mornings (especially when it is cold!), but not so great for my free time which reverts to zero till after 8pm and then i'm usually too tired. A throat infection hasn't helped either but all should be back to normal soon.

I have a quick and easy card for you today made with the new 'Easy Events' stamp set.
I have embossed the Pool Party card blank with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.
The flower image was stamped using black stazon ink and coloured using Stampin' markers in Wild Wasabi and Pretty in Pink. Next i applied Stampin' Up! Crystal effects to the flower for a glazed effect.

The Pool Party border was punched with the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. I can't rave enough about this punch. It punches both sides out at the same time and now you can have a ribbon effect border in any colour you want! Quick and easy.
I have placed a white strip of card behind the ribbon border to add to the effect.
The central flower is made using the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch. I have cut one flower from the strip and placed a white 1" circle behind it before applying to the centre of the border.
A basic rhinestone finishes off the card.

I made a few of these thankyou cards to give to my lovely customers and enjoyed making them.
I will have some more cards to show you next time, made using more stamps from the same set, only hopefully you wont have to wait so long for them!

Some more new in colors!

Good morning!

I have some more new in-colors to introduce you to today.

The first is 'Wisteria Wonder' and it is one of my favourites.

The background card is Wisteria Wonder with a layer of Whisper white card, embossed with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.

Next i punched a strip of Wisteria again using the Lace Ribbon Border punch.

I stamped 3 flowers from the Posy Punch stamp set again using Wisteria Wonder ink. I just love the gingham flower! I punched them out using the fancy flower punch. The centres are stamped and punched out with the 3/4" circle punch. Basic pearls were placed on the gingham flowers.

Finally the thank you sentiment is from the Just Believe stamp set and is placed on a wisteria label punched out using the Modern Label punch.

Now for some more new colours- 'Island Indigo' and 'Pool Party'.

Pool Party has to be my most absolute favourite new colour. It is a gorgeous aqua colour.

The background card is Island indigo. Next comes a thin matt of Pool Party card.

The next layer is Whisper White card stamped using the largest stamp from the Baroque Motifs stamp set with Pool Party ink. There are two small flowers stamped from this set using Island Indigo ink and cut out with my paper snips. These have small paerls added to the centre.

The next layer is Island indigo cardstock cut into shape with one of the dies from my stash.
Another smaller layer cut using the same die in whisper white card comes next.
I have stamped a motif from the same stamp set on this layer with the island ink and the final layer is stamped with another stamp from the same set, using Pool Party ink. This was cut out out and mounted on the top using dimensionals.
Finally i added a basic pearl.

My typing is suffering today but thanks to spell checker i have sorted it, Hopefully! However, this means i need to go get some coffee to get my mind working properly!

Have a lovely day.

Posy Punch In- color

Happy Sunday to you!

As promised, i am back with some more cards made using some of Stampin' Up's! new In colors.

I have only used one of the new colours in this card, 'Calypso Coral'. This is the colour of the base card and the first flower stamped using the Posy Punch Hostess set.
The next two flowers are stamped using Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight ink.

I cut out the centres of some more flowers and decoupaged them onto the centre of each flower for some dimension.

The ribbon is retired Daffodil Delight grosgrain, which i am going to miss.

The Whisper white background was embossed with the 'Elegant Bouquet' embossing folder.

The 'hello' was stamped using Calypso coral again and mounted onto a Calypso
1 1/4" circle.

This next card introduces the new 'Lucky Limeade' colour which is the cards base colour and one of the flowers. This is a lovely zingy green- also great for Christmas cards!
The other two flowers are stamped with Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight ink. Again the centre of the flowers have been decoupaged with contrasting colours.

The Whisper white card has again been embossed with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.
The lacy border is made using the new Lace Ribbon Border punch and Lucky limeade card. I have threaded a thin strip of Calypso Coral card through the border.

The 'hello' is stamped using Limeade again and mounted onto a Calypso circle.

Thankyou for visiting and i hope you have a lovely peaceful Sunday.

Posy Punch

Good Morning.
Didn't that nice weather suddenly change? i felt like a drowned rat this morning after i got in from the school run!

It's nice to be back in the dry and i have a card to share with you using the Hostess Only Posy Punch stamp set.
'Hostess only' means that it is only available to you by  booking a workshop with a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.
The new Hostess benefits are simply great. Now you get 'Hostess Pounds' to spend on anything in the catalogue or on a specially priced exclusive stamp sets like the one i am showing you today.

I do like this set. You get three large flower stamps, a small flower stamp and a 'hello' stamp.

This is such an easy card to make.
I used a 'Soft Suede' card and mounted an 'Early Expresso' layer and a 'Very Vanilla' layer of card on to it. The vanilla layer was embossed using the 'Perfect Polka Dots' embossing folder.

The flowers are stamped using Soft Suede and Crumb cake ink and strung up with Linen thread. The co-ordinating 'Fancy Flower' punch makes cutting out the flower shapes really easy!

The 'hello' is stamped using Soft Suede ink. The next layer is a 1 1/4" circle punched piece of Soft Suede card which i have stamped the same flower onto using Early Expresso ink. This makes it a little less plain. Finally i mounted it onto a piece of Crumb Cake card, die cut with label 3 of the 'Lots of Tags' set. This was embossed with the Square Lattice folder.

I have some more cards to show you over the next few days using the same set but in rather different colourways to introduce you to the fab five new 'In Colors'

Take care and keep walm

Welcome to the ILWS New Catalogue Blog hop

Hello and welcome.
No doubt you will have had a fabby time so far hopping through our blogs.
Thankyou for joining me from Carolyn's Blog- she has some great projects on there.

My projects are made using the 'Beautiful Season' stamp set.
I just love stamps that allow me to do a bit of colouring with my markers and ink pads and the large image in this set does just that. Equally as important, you can ink the stamp up with a variety of colours and simply stamp! No extra colouring required if you don't want to! The set has three sentiment stamps too, including a tag stamp, which co-ordinates with the 'curly label' punch.

Firstly, i stamped the image using a black Stazon ink pad onto Whisper white cardstock. I coloured the image, using my inkpads and waterbrush, with Early Expresso, Choc Chip, Pear Pizzaz and  Real Red ink.
The image was placed onto a scalloped oval of textured Old Olive cardstock.

Next i used the Top Note die and the Big Shot to cut out the next layer of  Soft Suede cardstock.
I used the Square Latticed' embossing folder to add some texture.
The next layer is made using Old Olive DSP onto which which i tied some Real Red Satin ribbon.
The Background card is Real Red also.

The sentiment is from the 'Season of joy' stamp set as i wanted just a small sentiment for this card.
I chose to use the Decorative Label punch for the Soft Suede background as its shape works well with the Top Note die cut. The next layer was punched from Real Red cardstock using the scalloped oval punch. Both layers were again embossed with the Square Latticed folder.
Finally i added some gold glitter- after all it is a Christmas card, and you just gotta have a bit of sparkle!

I decided to make a matching gift box to go with the card.

I used the Pillow Box die to cut some Old olive cardstock which i embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. This achieved a dotty look to match the card!
I tied some Real Red Satin ribbon around the box.
The Curly Label sentiment was stamped using Black Stazon ink and coloured in with Pear Pizzaz, Early Expresso and Real Red Ink with my water brush. A touch of Gold glitter to finish!
The background layer of the sentiment was cut usingSoft Suede card and Label number 3 from the 'lots of Tags die set.

Now it is time to move on to Hayley's blog for some more inspiration.
