Christmas class cards with a winter theme

Hi There!
We had our last Christmas class of the year last friday and we had a go at making these three cards.
I must apologise for the quality of the photo's in this post. The light was just not working well for me today!
We used the 'Lovely as a tree' stamp set.
The colours for all three cards are bashful Blue and Whisper White.

We did a one sheet wonder for the printed backgrounds for two of the cards. Basically this is where we printed one full sheet of Whisper White card with Bashful Blue ink and the large stamp from the 'Baroque Motifs' stamp set. This stamp is so versatile it can be used as a background for just about anything!
The tree scene and the sentiment are embossed with silver embossing powder using the heat gun.
The sentiment used for all three cards comes from the new 'Petite Pairs' stamp set.
Overall this is quite a simple card.

The next card had quite a few layers and kept the ladies busy with the die cutting machine and the paper trimmers.
The designer paper is the Bashful Blue stripey paper and is from the Subtles DSP pack.
The white top layer has been embossed using the 'Perfect Polka Dot' embossing folder through the Big Shot. The centre border is punched out using the new dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.
Dazzling diamonds glitter adds some sparkle for the season but the picture does it very little justice.

For the final card we added 'Night of Navy' into the colour scheme.

We stamped the single trees in the two colours and layered them onto Night of Navy card and our printed background again. The sentiment is from 'Petite Pairs' and we have used some retired Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon.
Finally lots of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to finish.

The ladies all went home sparkling!

In anticipation of the new year i have some lovely stamp sets from the new catalogue which have yet to see some ink so i will enjoy having a play with those.

Also with the new year soon to be upon us, comes some great new products and Stampin' Up!s yearly Sale-a-bration which is not to be missed if you like FREE stamp sets.
