Happiest Birthday Wishes to Dad!

Whoops i did it again! Lost my mojo that is! But i have now found it again, thank goodness!

Today's card is made using Concord Crush, (my absolute favourite colour from all the in-colors!) and Pear Pizzaz with a little Whisper White thrown in.

I have added a sheet of Concord Crush Stripey DSP to the Pear background card for contrast.

As you can see i have sneaked in that square lattice embossing folder again! oops!

I have used the happy birthday sentiment from the Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set which is a hostess only set. The DAD letters are stamped using the Broadsheet Alphabet and i have coloured them a little with a Pear Pizzaz Stampin' Marker pen.
I have used the 1-3/4 Scallop Circle punch and the 2-3/8 Scallop Circle punch from the Spring mini catalogue to punch out the sentiment.

The card is finished off with those gorgeous Concord Crush Glimmer brads.

So shimmery! Even the men deserve a bit of glitz now and again don't you think?

Thanks for visiting and take care,

Flirtatious Flowers

Hi there

Today's card is named so, because i have used the Flirtatious Speciality Papers for the background and flowers, because there are quite a few of them! Well it is Spring!

The card is based on the challenge set by the http://simplystampinchallenge.blogspot.com sketch challenge for the week 3rd March. I didn't enter as i don't have the courage to do such things but maybe one day i will. It was fun to play along though.

The overall colourway is Melon Mambo, Early Expresso and Whisper White.

I used the Square latticed embossing folder to emboss the Flirtatious DSP in the background....i keep doing this at the moment.....I'm sure the impulse to emboss everything with Square Lattice will probably end soon when i find a new Stampin' Up! tool to rave over!

I have used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch for the horizontal strip at the top and textured Melon card for the vertical border strip.

The Large Melon flower is made by punching several flowers out using the Fancy Flower punch. I then, scrunched each one up until the layers of the cardstock begin to separate. If you are careful, you can peel the layers off and put them together to get a nice distressed looking flower.
As i was going for a distressed look i chose an Antique brad for the flower centre.

The sentiment comes from the Sincere Salutations stamp set. For the Melon frame around the sentiment i have used the Oval Designer Frame embossing folder.

I finished off the card by punching flowers using the Boho Blossoms punch and one of the Itty Bitty punches. I placed a metallic brad in the middle of each.

I hope you like it, however, i am going to set myself a challenge to make a card without using the Square Lattice folder, i think. However i can make no promises........

Fresh Vintage

Hello and 'Happy Monday!'

Time seems to have been running away from me recently so i haven't had much chance to get into my craft room.

As Sale-a-bration will be ending on 31st March i thought i would make a card using the Fresh vintage' stamp set.
I have used Island Indigo and Whisper white cardstock and ink for this one.
The background card is stamped using the swirly stamp from the Season of Joy stamp set. Alternatives to use for this could be the swirly stamp in Everything Eleanor or the retired 'So Swirly' wheel if you were lucky enough to get it previously!

The stamped images were punched out using the Postage Stamp Punch and then mounted onto a strip of white card which i have embossed using, yet again my favourite! Square Lattice embossing folder...can't stop using it..just love the effect!

The Island Indigo borders are made using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch.

I have used to Word Window punch and the Modern Label punch to layer the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment which comes from the 'Create a Cupcake' stamp set.

Finally i have placed basic Rhinestones on the centre of the flowers on each postage stamp.

Just a quick reminder about finishing dates so you don't miss out on these great stamp sets.

Sale-a-bration ends March 31st and the Spring Mini-catalogue ends on 30th April 2012. We never know if products from the mini catalogues will make it to our new main catalogue (issued in September!). So don't miss out on the Create a Cupcake stamps and Cupcake Builder Punch, Postage Stamp Punch and Large Scallop Punch if they are on your wish list!
And as for the SAB sets, once they are gone, they are gone!

Enjoy your day, whatever you are doing and take care,

Tina.xx
