Everything Eleanor

Hello again

I have a couple of the cards to share with you that we made at my class last week using the Everything Eleanor Stamp set.

The first card you have seen before, but i have tweaked it a little.

The second card is a new one

The colour scheme is Whisper White and Pink Pirouette.

We stamped the large and medium flower heads to create a background piece.

The pink border is made using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch and the sentiment comes from 'Sincere salutations and was stamped using Crumb Cake ink.

The flowers were made using the Boho Blossoms punch and they were scrunched a little to make them a little distressed to go along with the distressing we did on the edges of the mats on the card.

Pearls finish off the card.

Tomorrow is the start of the new Stampin' Up! Summer Mini catalogue and i will be taking part in the ILWS Summer Mini Blog Hop. So be sure to check back here for lots of ideas and inspiration using products from the new catalogue.

Take care

Another sneak peek

Good morning!

I hope you are all well and keeping dry! We have had the most awful weather here in Rugby, including a tornado, which caused quite a lot of damage to peoples houses and gardens. We were very lucky not to be affected as it did hit some houses at the bottom of our road!

We had our card making class last night and i had a lovely time with the ladies making some cards which i will share with you later.

But for today i have a sneak peek for you using one of the new stamp sets from the upcoming Summer mini which starts on Tuesday.

The stamp set is called 'Apocethary Art' and it is one of my favourites from this mini.

The stamp i have used today is one of the smaller ones from the set and the larger ones are lovely.
I have made some other cards using the larger ones but i wanted to save them for the Blog Hop i am taking part in on Tuesday, so check back here if you would like to see lots of lovely projects from my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

The overall colour scheme for the card is Poppy Parade, Basic Black and Whisper White.

The designer paper is also available from Tuesday, along with another tool which i have used to create the frames.

Here's a close up....

I have embossed the black frame with the 'stripes' Stampin' Up! textured impressions embossing folder.

I used my Wild Wasabi and Poppy Parade Stampin' markers to colour the flowers and leaves.
The sentiment comes from the Sincere Salutations stamp set.

The flowers are made by twisting a spiral piece of card around into the flower shape and they are finished off with basic rhinestones.

Right, well i am hoping that the weather will improve today so we can actually get outside without getting wet! I hope it improves for where ever you are too!

Have a good weekend,

Sneak peek! Sshhhh!

Hi there

As promised i have a sneak peek for you from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Summer Mini catalogue which starts on the 1st May.

So here's the card...
What do you think of that stamped image? I just love it! and the rhinestones just make it pop!

I decided to go with clean and simple for this one as the image is perfect for these types of cards. So white on white it is.

The colours i have used are Stampin' Up!'s Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant and Lucky Limeade.

Now the DSP isn't new, in fact it is from the hostess only DSP set in the main catty called 'Cheerful Treat'. So basically, you can only get your hands on it by hosting a workshop, either in-home or virtual.

The Elegant Eggplant border is made using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch.

There is one other sneak peak of another new item coming our way on this card too. Have you spotted it yet?

It's all so very exciting, i am absolutely fit to burst with it all.

However, back to earth.... a little reminder that if there is anything you want from the Spring Mini Catalogue, then please remember to place your order with me by 30th April, as that is the date that all those Spring goodies turns into pumpkins...ooooh!

Will be back with some more peeks for you soon.

Take care and hugs,

Nursery Nest Owl

Hi there

I have another set of freebie papers for you to see today. This time it is the Nursery Nest set and i have paired them with my favourite...owl.

I have used three of the paper designs on this card which have the blue overtones. There are also some papers with a pink overtone too, so perfect for girls!

My base card is white and i have layered Pear Pizzaz and Marina Mist cardstock.
Mr Owl is  made with Soft Suede, Marina Mist stripey DSP and again Pear Pizzaz cardstock using the Owl Builder punch.
The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment comes from the 'Create a Cupcake' set and is stamped using Marina Mist ink.

The card is finished off with some 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in Marina Mist.

Thanks for looking.

More Fruit and Flowers and Berry Blossoms for you

Hello there....

Today i have some more cards made with the 'Berry Blossoms' papers which you can earn free with an order of £45 or more. This is one of 4 different sets you can choose from but is my favourite.

and here is my first card....

I have stamped the strawberry onto Whisper White using my Poppy Parade ink and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Marker pen. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black and comes from the 'Crazy for Cupcakes' stamp set from the main catty.
I have placed three red 'brights' brads on the card and matted it onto a Whisper White mat. I do like the effect of white on white.
This is then placed onto the base card which has a piece of Berry Blossom DSP and the bottom corners are rounded.

Finally,  have added some Crystal Effects liquid to the main strawberry image and to the strawberries on the DSP. I'm not sure if you can see the glazed effect on the next photo but it works well in the light.

My next card is a bit more colourful......

The 3 fruit images are stamped using Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade ink and the 'just for you' sentiment comes from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stamp set and is inked up in Basic Black.

These were punched out using the 13/8" circle punch and matted onto Poppy Parade punched Scallop Circles (1-3/4").

The background card is made up of Berry Blossom DSP on the top and Poppy Parade cardstock on the bottom which i have embossed using the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder and rounded the bottom corners.

The card has been finished off with a piece of Lucky Limeade Ribbon, a little butterfly cut using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die and an 'Itty Bitty' punched tiny flower with a basic rhinestone.

I will be back soon with some projects made with another of the free DSP sets.
Thanks for looking

Fruit and Flowers with Berry Blossoms DSP

Hello again,

I have some projects, as promised, using the Berry Blossoms DSP which is one of the sets you can choose free with an order of £45 or more this month.
The cardstock colours i have used for both projects are Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder and early Expresso and these are the colours found in this gorgeous DSP set. This floral paper is my favourite of the set.

The card is fairly simple. I have used the Scallop Trim border punch for the Expresso border and the Oval punch and Scallop Oval punch for the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in Early Expresso ink using a stamp from the 'Petite Pairs' set.

The flowers are cut using the 'Blossom Party' Die and the leaf is cut using the 'Little Leaves' Sizzlit die which can be found in the Stampin' Up! main catalogue.

I have used my Stampin' Markers in the new in-colors to ink the stamp, punched the image out using the Extra-large Oval Punch and placed it on an Expresso frame embossed using the Oval 'Designer frame' embossing folder, again from Stampin' Up!

Now for a little something to co-ordinate with it...
I am obsessed with making these lovely little purses at the moment, aren't they just so cute?

These can be made with some simple scoring and folding of a 6"x6" piece of DSP.

I found the tutorial for these on Youtube by a very talented lady called France Martin. You can find it at www.youtube.com/frenchiestamps
The actual design for this purse is CASE'd from Julie Kettlewells' design. Her blog can be found here she has some lovely projects on there- well worth a visit! I thought it would go so well with the card.
I have used Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon for the straps and Lucky Limeade Designer printed brads to hold the ribbon in place.
The clasp is made using a the Blossom party flower die, a brad from my collection, an oval punched piece of card and Velcro mini dots.

I always use 'Sticky Strip' for adhering my 3d projects together, i have never found anything better!

I hope you like today's projects. I will have some more for you soon.

Take care
