Tea Shoppe

Good Morning!

I have a card i have made using the 'Tea Shoppe' stamp set today.

The background card is Cherry Cobbler with a Whisper White layer on top. The next layer is Whisper White again but this time embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

I have hidden the join using some Riding Hood Red pleated satin ribbon.

Next comes some textured Riding Hood Red card which i have cut using the Labels collection of Framelits. I have used the rose paper from the 'Holly Berry Bouquet' speciality DSP set for the next layer. I think roses and teacups go together quite well.

Next comes a rectangular piece of textured Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
The three teacups image has been stamped using Cherry Cobbler(centre) and Riding Hood Red ink(2 outer cups). Stampin' Write marker pens are great for inking up different parts of a stamp in different colours!

I have punched three Cherry Cobbler flowers using a punch from the Itty Bitty Punches pack and added some tiny Basic Pearls to the centre and placed these on each of the tea cups.

The lower image was stamped using Early Expresso ink, punched out using the oval punch and was placed on  Cherry Cobbler textured card punched out using the scallop oval punch. Another flower added.

The sentiment was inked up with early Expresso ink. I used the Word Window Punch and mounted onto Cherry Cobbler card which was punched out using the Modern Label punch.

I now have some fab new goodies to play with. This is one of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. We get to pre-order all the fab new stuff!

These are from the new Autumn/Winter mini catalogue which goes live on 1st September. If you would like a copy, please be sure to let me know your address and i will be happy to send one out to you.

Now i am hoping for a peaceful day, with maybe a little bit of crafting, but am thinking i am not going to get it!!!

Thanks for visiting

'Just Believe'

Good Morning!

I have returned to a more summery theme for my card today and have used the lovely 'Just Believe' stamp set from the main catalogue.

(Apologies for the washing in the background! Have got to make the most of this breezy weather!)

All materials and tools used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated.

I have used Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Early Expresso inks and cardstock, making use of my Stampin' Markers for the flowers!

I have used the dotted scallop ribbon border punch below the main image, the scallop oval punch for behind the sentiment and my paper piercer, also for the sentiment.

The DSP is from the hostess set Cheerful Treat.

The butterflies are cut using the Beautiful Wings die and i have finished them off with some basic pearls.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and i hope you have a lovely day.xxx

A little Sneak Peak!

Hi there

As a Stampin' Up! demo, one of the perks is that we get to see and use the new goodies before they are officially released to their customers.
So today, i am sharing a card i have made using a stamp set which will be available in the near future.

The stamp set is called 'Make a Cake'.

The colours for the card are Elegant Eggplant, Melon Mambo and Whisper White with a little Real Red thrown in!

The Melon Mambo dotty DSP is from the hostess only set 'Cheerful Treat'.
I used the scallop edge border punch also.
The little heart was made using the Owl Builder punch and i have added some Crystal Effects to make it glossy.
I have used some Real Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, brights brads and a button to embellish.
The sentiment comes from the 'Party This Way' stamp set.

So, whilst i am looking forward to all the new goodies, soon to come our way, there is always going to be those products that will be no longer available in the future. The Summer mini comes to an end this month and some of those products will not make it into the new Idea Book and Catalogue released at the beginning of October.

Right, i am hopeful that i may just get some crafting time today.
Thanks for visiting my  blog and for your lovely comments which i really appreciate and love to read.

Don't be shocked....but i have gone festive!

Hi there.
Well the last couple of days have been challenging when it came to getting any time to craft, let alone blog. My kiddiwinks are starting to get bored and with the weather not being brilliant, i have been busy trying to keep them occupied.

But here we are....and i know...Christmas...but i was sort of working towards it, wasn't i?
This card isn't too different in style to the cards i have been making recently. Similar colours and the large background 'En Francais' stamp. It just sort of evolved because i thought 'how can i use a non-Christmas stamp set and make it Christmassy?'

So i came up with the lovely 'Everything Eleanor' stamp set.

The 'En Francais' stamp was inked up with More Mustard ink first. Then i added accent colours of Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler using my Stampin' Write markers directly onto the stamp before stamping onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

This was matted onto Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green cardstock.

The label stamp was inked up with Crumb Cake ink and the 'Seasons Greetings' sentiment (from the Curly Cute stamp set) was stamped using Early Expresso ink.

The flowers are inked up with Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green ink. I have also heat embossed some with gold and cut them out.

I have finished the card off with some Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon (can't stop using it at the moment...need to get more!) and an Antique Brad.

I am hoping that i have dealt with the need to do Christmas for a bit now. I just need some nice sunny weather to help me revert back to more Summery cards, after all, it is still August!

Thanks for visiting today. I hope the sun shines soon for you too!

Faith in Nature

I have 2 thank you cards today made using the Stampin' Up! Hostess only set, 'Faith in Nature'.
I realised i hadn't used this set much when i found the thank you sentiment useful for some other cards i made this week.

So here are the cards....
I changed the design slightly for each one.

I have used Pear Pizzaz and Cajun Craze for the first card.

The En Francais large background stamp was inked up with Crumb Cake ink on this one.

On the pear stamp i have used a combo of More Mustard, Old Olive and Cajun Craze ink. I used my Stampin' Write Markers to place the ink on the stamp. I love that you can do this with the marker pens. They are so much more than just colouring in pens.

I added some Pear Pizzaz seam binding and an Antique brad for a bit of luxury.

Now for my next card i decided to ink up the En Francais stamp with two colours....
Firstly i used the More Mustard ink pad all over the stamp and then i used my Cajun Craze Stampin' Write Marker with the brush end to apply colour around the edges of the stamp and some over the main part of the stamp also.

The pear stamp was inked up with the markers the same as before with More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Old Olive ink.

I have used Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze cardstock for the matting and layering.

The card is finished off with some Cherry Cobbler seam binding and an Antique brad.

When i look at these cards, i realise that i seem to have gone a bit Autumnal in the colour scheme.

I think that is because i am starting to think about Christmas cards. I know, it's only August! But we will soon have a fab new seasonal mini catalogue at Stampin' Up! which means lots of lovely new Christmas stamps and products and believe me, they really are gorgeous!
One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demo is that we get sneak peeks and also get to play with them in advance of their official release.

So watch this space! and maybe start thinking about having your own festive themed Stampin' Up! workshop/party! I can't wait to get started!

Thanks for visiting me today

Yet another 'Reason to Smile'

Hello and 'Happy Sunday' to you. I hope you are having a fab day, whatever you are doing.

Here is my latest creation using the new 'Reason to Smile' stamp set...

Firstly i stamped the 'En Francais' large stamp using Certainly Celery ink onto Whisper White card and then layered it up onto Marina Mist and Bashful Blue cardstock.

The flower is stamped using the 2-step stamping technique. With the block flower background i stamped the image first using Bashful Blue ink.
Next, with the actual flower image i used my Stampin' Up! markers and inked the flower part of the stamp with Marina Mist and the stem with Garden Green ink. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp on top of the first image to obtain the layered look.

I have used my framelits label dies to cut the layers and used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for the Bashful Blue layer behind the main image. I finished off the main image with a small bow made using Bashful blue 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.

For the sentiment i have used the 'Four frames' stamp set and co-ordinating Decorative Label Punch and Bashful Blue ink.
The 'thankyou' stamp is from the hostess only 'Faith in Nature' stamp set and is inked up with Marina Mist ink.

Thats all for today, however, i do hope to be back with more soon, although maybe using a different stamp set.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Reason to Smile

Hi again!
Yes i know! twice in one day! but i did say i would try to post some projects made with the new 'Reason to Smile' stamp set, so here i am....

Made using Whisper White and Pool Party cardstock, this card is very simple.

I have used the new Framelits Labels Collection dies and the new Adorning Accents embossing folder for the embossed line top and bottom. I used the Vintage wallpaper embossing folder too on one of the frames.

The sentiment stamped in Basic Black ink comes from the 'Petite Pairs' stamp set.

Finally to finish off the card i have used some Pool Party ruffled ribbon and some basic pearls.

I thought i would share a few photo's from our holiday in Looe in Cornwall which we have just returned from.  It was an absolutely fantastic holiday and the weather was perfect!

Isn't this just dreamy!
This is a beautiful place called Fowey and the light is just awesome on the blueness of the water...

anyway, enough of my ranting on about holidays for now.....but i will be back with some more soon.

Thanks for visiting and take care,
