Where has the time gone?

Apologies for my absence yet again!

I have been busy sorting out lots of things at home including my future career!! Now that my youngest has started school, I have had to have a good think about what I am going to do, because, lovely as it is to have all this time at home on my own, i really can't justify it with all my kiddiwinks growing up and needing so much. There always seems to be something to pay out for, whether it be music lessons, after school clubs, new clothes for growing up girls! and boys, school trips, family days out....the list is endless.

However, what i have decided to do will have to stay under wraps for a little while longer while i finish sorting the fine detail. It is quite exciting though having the chance to start a new phase in life so i am quite enjoying it.

Anyway, back to the crafting!

I have used the 'Positively Pampered' Fairy and sentiment from Lilli of the Valley for this one.
The card stock is Stampin' Up!s Crumbcake and Ruby Red, which is a retired colour, but it goes well with the papers that I chose. The papers are from my huge stash and I have no idea where they are from.

I used my promarkers to colour in the image and even got out my sewing machine and learnt how to use it, finally!
The ribbon and lace were from my stash also along with the butterfly charm. The brad is an 'Antique brad' from Stampin' Up!
I just love using these mulberry roses too at the moment.

I have decorated the inside of the card also

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Something a little different!

I have a card to share with you today that i made a few weeks back for my Granddaughters 2nd birthday.

I coloured this LOTV fairy with my promarkers and added some sparkles because all fairies need sparkle.
The papers are some very old ones from my stash. I have so many that I can't remember where half of them come from but it is good to get them used!
I have used Mulberry Paper Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I decorated the inside too....

Right, I have to go do the finishing alterations to my sons new school uniform. He starts in Reception class on Monday and I have left it till the last minute just in case he grew over the summer holidays. But, as all my kiddiwinks are small there wasn't much chance of that. His age 3 trousers still need taking up by a couple of inches!

Thanks for visiting today.

More Perfectly Preserved!

Hello to you on this lovely sunny September's day.

I have another card for you today, made using the new 'Perfectly Preserved' stamp set.

The background card is Very Vanilla. I stamped the jar using Early Expresso ink. The stems are inked using the new In-color Gumball Green. I used Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple ink (also new), for the flower stamp.

The image  is mounted onto Gumball Green card and i have tied some new Gumball Green ribbon around it. This ribbon will be available in the new 2013 Idea book and catalogue when it is released on 1st October.

For the background of the card i used the scallop border punch for the green border and some of the new Orchard Harvest DSP.

Another new product is the Woodgrain embossing folder which i used on the Early Expresso and Raspberry Ripple layers on the card.

The sentiment comes from the Itty Banners stamp set and is die cut with the matching Itty Banners Framelits.

Finally, the card is finished off with some basic pearls on the flowers and linen thread and Early Expresso buttons.

Thanks for visiting today.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Perfectly Preserved.....my memories!

There are days when i wish i could preserve my memories and make them come to a standstill.
Yesterday was one of them.

My son had his first day at secondary school today and it was a very emotional time watching him walk through the school gate all grown up in his new school uniform. I know that the next 5 years are going to fly by so i am determined to make the most of them.

Anyway, onto my card for today...

I have used brand new products from the new Autumn/Winter catalogue which is out now.

The cardstock colours used are Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla.

The cherries are from the 'Perfectly Preserved' stamp set. I used my Stampin' Markers in Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade to ink them up. I used my white pen on them also.

The DSP comes from the Orchard Harvest DSP set which I absolutely love.
The dotted border was made using the dotted scallop ribbon border punch.

The sentiment is from the 'Oval All' set and is inked up in Cherry Cobbler ink and mounted onto a scallop oval punched piece of Cherry card.
I have finished the card with a piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon tied into a bow.

Quite a simple card but just right for the upcoming Autumn season I think.

Thanks for visiting today.
Hugs.
